Currently on Microsoft Windows 2003? Running IIS 6? If so, methods of migrating to newer operating systems can include laborious reconfiguration of websites and migration of data.

However, a little known tool from Microsoft does speed this process somewhat, zipping up all data and settings in to a single file which can be transported to your new server running IIS7 and imported in very few clicks.

Hopefully something which will make all our lives a little easier – especially if you aren’t already with us and are looking to move to the fastest network in the UK!
